NEW! Focus Adapters for 3 element or G2/G1 lenses

Hi there folks, I have a new focus adapter for sale.
These are shallowly threaded specifically for G1/G2 lenses which need to screw deep into the module.
These work perfectly for that purpose. As an added feature and added style the front face has also been shallowly threaded for having the option to add the Diffraction grating tips that come with many cheap green/red/violet laser pointers.
Now not all of them will fit properly. I have tested with 3 different kinds and only 1 did not work. I have included a photo of the one I am using and also a photo of a common one that will not fit.

The dimensions and threading are as follows:
Focus adapter is 3mm thick, and 19mm wide
Threading for lens M9X.5
Threading for Pattern tips M11.3X.5

Sorry but you guys are going to be on your own this round as far as getting the tips that you need. I have contacted Rayfoss about getting a supply of them in. They are currently working on it.

Though I am still looking for an adapter a little larger in diameter say at 1 1/4" I will get a couple as well.

Yes I agree they could be a little larger but at this price I think they a definitely worth giving a try. The thinner adapters actually look better on some hosts. Ideally you want to get a custom adapter for each host but if you want a generic one I think this is a good option.

I got the adapters yesterday and for a generic adapter it both works and looks good. Looking forward to some black ones.
Now I just need to figure out the best, easiest, and cost effective way of keeping the lenses clean.....

I will be including these with a bunch of JAD kits that will be available shortly but I have plenty extra I ordered for you folks so don't hesitate to use them on your builds, they look really nice and function perfectly for both G2 lenses and 3 element.

I tend to not use focus adapters because I like to have a lens cap. Since these focus adapters have threads on the front it would be awesome if you could get little metal lens caps that screw in! Then we wouldn't have to make a choice between a lens cap or a focus adapter.

Good idea, then again the diffraction grating tips would provide the same protection as a lens cap.
