I was using a flashlight driver for it and just got the X-drive, but its not turning on? Something wrong with my setup or something?

I'm using the ehgemus host as contact points, so its not anything else.

does it read with a test load?
what batteries in the host? Ive done it that way and sometimes get issues with weak contacts.
do you get voltage at the v+/V-?
what diode? what did you set the driver to?
and is that just taped together or is the tape used as temp insulation?

Looks like there is solder splash between + and - on driver output

Darn Ultron,
You are snake bit lately. You need to get a test load, impossible to diagnose without it

Don't have one yet.

2 x 18650. Tried with 2 different host, still didn't turn on.

No idea, don't have a test load.

Its a 2.4A X-drive, I bought it from DTR

Its soldered underneath.

Yeah, I really do.

I would also invest in some heat shrink tubing. That yellow tape has got to go. It's an accident waiting to happen.
I do have them. Just used that temporarily to see how the driver was working.

Do you have a multi-meter? If you can get it laid out, and get the meter probes on the LD + and - and power it on, you can at least see if there's any voltage going through the driver. But that's about it without a test load, or a different driver/diode to swap out.

I don't, I'm sure an engineering student will have one. I'll try and find one.
