Need help with my laser!!

I have a 200 mw red laser from rayfoss. It worked great the first week and it stopped working after that. I kinda put off fixing/having it fixed and want to start. The battery works fine. I shows a faint red dot only visible a few inshed away. I Think it has something to do with the diode. I need some help and some pointers. Thanks

PS: I have checked with rayfoss.com. I do not want to pay the $20 each way. That is last resort.
