I need a dimable led that can work on 1 or 2 aaa battery's, and have a small slider wich can make it put out less lumens and more lumens. Not as a switch-mode.
I also need it to be as small as a normal led...no heatsink.
Any ideas?

All LED's are dimable you just give them less current

now for an LED that works on 1.5 volts, I have used them and I do have some red T1 size ones around here but I have not seen them in a long time.

Have you Google low voltage LED ?

Good luck...

It can be powered by 2 aaa's so a 3v led is also okay.
Its quite simple that i need the regulator switch to be as small as possible.
Its for on a staff. I want a orb on top of the staff wich i can then let glow on the amount i want it to glow.

Reds (and IR) are the only LEDs that work at 3V or less. If you don't want switch mode, the only option you have is a simple pot.
