These are some of the first pictures I have taken of my lasers. The quality is not brilliant and they have lost even more from being compressed, but I still think they are nice.
All pictures except the spiro are taken after about 3 bursts of a smoke machine, and exposure is 1½ seconds IIRC.
Lasers used are a couple of 50mW greenies from Ledshoppe, kaleidoscopic 30mW greenie from DX, IgorT 6x and my first Dilda. The spiro was my first ever, quickly made using an old fan and a low rpm phone vibrator motor. Camera used is a Canon Ixus 75. Feel free to post your own photos. More to follow.
Enjoy!

Thanks both of you :)
The last two are made using the kaleidoscopic green which shines through two layers of diffraction grating. With enough smoke every single one of the beams is clearly visible and extremely beautiful!

Can you send me links to how you were able to achieve the following pictures?

Thank you everyone :) As I mentioned, these were among my first and therefore not that great photos. I will try to add new ones soon!

Abolfazl, the first picture is made using two spinning mirrors, attached to a motor each at a very slight angle. Search for "spiro".

The two last pictures were made with this laser and quite a lot of smoke.

I thought I had already explained this?

"The spiro was my first ever, quickly made using an old fan and a low rpm phone vibrator motor."
"The last two are made using the kaleidoscopic green which shines through two layers of diffraction grating. With enough smoke every single one of the beams is clearly visible and extremely beautiful!"

Oh well, now you have it explained twice.

Very cool Jaseth cudos for your first spiro project ! :yh: if T_J can't appre something cool that's his prob. I'm trying to get a couple of thoes vibrater motors running like that myself with some front surface mirrors , we'll post some pic's when finished..

Peace Pyro... :eg:

Thanks flaminpyro, appreciate it! I have since then built a way better two mirror and 3 mirror spiro. I only use scrap parts from phones, fans, RC cars and so on for motors, some cheap fan speed controllers from DX and for mirrors I bought some really cheap tile mirrors and cut them up. Having a scanner, you don't bother investing in 1st surface mirrors and good motors for a spiro ;)

I don't think TJ was disrespecting in any way, he was just pointing out to Abolfazl that a spiro and diffraction gratings are very simple effects and he should therefore be able to find out about them himself insted of asking.

Seb

EDIT: Good luck with your spiro and please post the pictures here when you finish :)

Those are really nice. It looks like your having a lot of fun.
In Belgium, it looks like you guys have some pretty cool looking AC outlets.
