Did you use stock driver, build it yourself, or buy one from a member here? BTW awesome! i knew it could be done.

Re: my dorcy jr br (50mw)

It was my idea. I told him to do it and how. I'm gonna build one with a flexdrive.

Just my 2 cents

i used the stock driver with a pot and a 803 diode

Lol, you only say that when you're adding your opinion in a discution ::) The fact that it was your idea, well, it's a fact, not an opinion. :P I guess....Anyway, tell us more about the BR diode. Is it a writer diode or a freaky xbox?

ya know this just sounds like bragging to me and to be honest it's sickening.

Completely agree.

Spyder - What do you mean by "your idea"? As far as I know, Hemlock Mike was the first one to build a BR laser out of a dorcy junior.

As far as bragging about Dorcy Jr. Blu-Ray idea........ :-/. Yea the Dorcys are tried and proven to work at least for a while with reds, BUT without some major precautions the driver in the will just cause a bitter end to the BR diode.. as I have tried to state in Spyder's thread on them... As suggested by myself and a couple others in that thread, they make an awesome host WHEN used with a real boost driver.

I'm very impressed! Thank me for the idea...

I had no idea something could make me more nauseous, than your avatar....

Just a while ago you were asking HOW to do it in 20 threads at the same time. I tried answering a couple of times, but always gave up because of that alone. Or i think i answered in one, but even you forgot about that one.

what i mean by my idea is i told him how to do it and what host to use. I am very impressed, i'm not trying to brag. By the way, it is an Xbox PHR-803T diode, and he is using a pot set 80-90mA, so it will not break. I am gonna do the same thing with a flex drive.
