Multiline Argon in Australia!

Extremely easy, although shipping it back to the US would be very expensive, so probably not worth it :(

Yeah, just noticed that at the bottom of the eBay page. Good luck with the sale!

Well, eBay decided to be moronic and remove my auction, saying lasers over 1mW aren't allowed on the Australian eBay site. I see 5 other argons on eBay AU right now, and the laws only apply to pointers.

I wish they'd do some friggin research before pulling your listing.

I've emailed em, I'll see what happens.

No, Things just said that silly ebay pulled it as they believe all >1mw lasers are illegal in australia.

Only pointers are illegal. I CANNOT see anyone using a heavy KW of power eating argon as a pointer! (and geez that would take a small fortune in Li-Ion batteries to make it portable LOL)

Oh, Things, put it back on ebay as a Laser Component. State that the buyer will need to build a power supply for it, and that in its current state, it cannot generate a beam until such power supply is constructed.

How much did u want for it?

I did put that it doesn't come with a power supply, and I put it under the industrial section. I had it for $400 BIN, but I'd be happy with $200AUD + ship (Not too much inside Aus) just to not be bothered trying to get it back on eBay.

I paid $100US in shipping to get it here from the US, so I'm wanting to get at least that back.

Anyway, those components I was gonna buy off you for this will work perfectly with this laser, if you take it up :)

Blemishes are from the camera lens going foggy while I was taking the pics, the humidity is killing me!

I'm interested - that is what I want, a multiline argon, and I love building power supplies, and I have most of the components.

Whats the millawatt rating on the head, and how many hours on the meter.

Would you be willing to hold it for me (w/deposit), until after NY? I need to buy spaghetti first but I'd love this laser :)

The label says <150mW, I've been told I should see at least 50mW from it. The hours are quite high (9000 ish I think), but I've been assured it works :)

This laser was used in a medical environment, so it's very well looked after, should have quite a lot of life left in it yet :)

I'd be willing to hold onto it for you. I'm currently looking for around $60AUD to purchase a CNC controller, so any deposit that can help me towards that would be fine ;)

Cheers,
Dan

ok - I can send you $60 for your CNC controller on the 21st (sorry this pay is all tied up)

I love a challenge, and a multiline argon is going to be fun to put together, especially since I have all of the major components to build a supply.

I'll be in Canberra from the 20-30th, and probably wont have access to the internet till I get back. I don't mind waiting, just wanted to let you know.

What is your post code/addy? PM it to me if you'd like. I'll do a quick shipping lookup.

Cheers,
Dan

Things, its 2043.

I dont mind waiting - I have more important projects to finish (and clear off my workbench), before I start working on the NEC.

I will be happy to DD, to avoid paypal fees for you too.

Yep I got around the same price when I was going to ship the trafo and cap over to you :)
