The 405nm look may just be the aiming laser, when it actually burns the mosquito, that is no where near bright enough to do what it's doing. I'd say it might be a high powered IR laser, just with a 405nm tracking beam.

EDIT: Maybe the 405nm scans the room, and when it sees the reflection, triggers the real laser? The violet seems to disappear as they start burning ..

The violet one kills em, the green one is used for tracking. There's another vid where it shows the tracking system, and ONLY the tracking system to demonstrate its capabilities. Pretty cool either way.
