Hi everyone, it's been awhile since my last post here, but I'm now working as a post-doc doing multiphoton lithography with femtosecond lasers.

We're trying to raise funds for our research group at UT Austin since proposals have not been funded. I've been given the green light by the administration to sell some of our equipment. While an oscillator is far beyond the level of a hobbyist, I know that some of you come from professional backgrounds in laser physics, while others may be able to profit by reselling.

I have a Mira 900 oscillator, originally owned by us and in working condition (these things don't really break, since they're essentially just high quality optics). It was produced in 1997, and is described by the company as a "west coast special". This means that it's bare bones without the "Optima package" that does automatic alignment. I do manual alignment on our Spectra-Physics Tsunami and it's not too difficult. Once aligned, minor adjustments can be made for weekly peaking. Feel free to call Coherent with our serial number, since they should have that on record.

I'm asking for $5000 plus shipping for this oscillator. It ships without a pump, chiller, or power supply. Pickup is even better.

Hi, Kyle. That is outside my budget, but I wish you luck on funding your project. (y)

Thanks, I appreciate it! I'll try LabX as well. With people wanting faster oscillators in a niche market, it's a bit tough to find buyers.

I honestly would buy this if I had the money and a place to put it...

I definitely feel you on the speed bit too. A lot of these older lasers are getting to be pretty hard sells
