I've collected enough lasers and accessories that I needed a better place to keep them than on top of the dresser. :D It has room to expand. I have a pair of goggles for green coming in next week and I'm working on a beam expander also.

Blurry pics. Gotta get a new camera one of these days!

Nice collection and case Rossco why don't you get one of those cheap aluminum chinese cases and put them in there?

Nice casing. I was thinking of doing something similar. I have all the parts I need at work luckily.

what did you use to cut the foam?
One of those razor knives with the long blade that you can snap pieces off as it gets dull.

Hehe, wonder if I could make holes with my butane lighter. It melts foam like nobody's business. ;D

burn the shapes out with the laser
Not quite. You would need a good deal of power to do that. it would just absorb the heat from a laser. i say around 500mw would do. correct me if im wrong ;D

I tried it w/a 200mW red and quickly realized that due to the thickness of the foam, I would have to move the laser closer to keep the focal point where it would burn it. You might be able to do it w/a 250-300mW if the focal point was set to a good distance. Even then you would need a lot of patience.

I admit that cutting the slot for the OEM 1st was a mistake (it is all jagged). I got the hang of it soon enough though. Just wish that 1st cut was smoother. I have a couple more pieces of foam and if I get bored enough I might redo it.
