LPM Inquiry (0.1 or 0.5 mW measurements?)

Hey everyone!

New member here, I've spent the last couple hours looking through here and am learning a ton but haven't found a specific answer to a question I had.

I'm in need of an LPM, but I haven't purchased one before and don't know too much about them. I was hoping this forum could lend their expertise.

My requirement:

Precise Measurements: 0.1 mW measurements would be awesome, as I'll be dealing primarily with lower output lasers. However, I don't know if this is feasible for commercial units. What LPM's have the most precise units of measurement for mW?

Many thanks!

I don't know anyone here who has an LPM that can read in tenths of mW. That doesn't mean that someone else might not know of one though. Good luck and welcome to the forum:) +REP to get you started.

There's a commercial pen-stick LPM that has that range and sensitivity, I can't remember the name now. I think it may have been from SpectraPhysics.

^Coherent lasercheck. I've got one. It reads down to a microwatts with ease.

Wow, that sucker is really sensitive and $450 list on the site.

You'll need an optical LPM, as suggested the Coherent Lasercheck is good.

Thermal LPM's are too sensitive to the environment for those powers.
