Where do I find a longer 10440 battery?
I have a host that fits a AAA cell (or a 10440) and with the driver removed it will have 50% more space.. for like a 10660 battery :p

where do I find 10mm diameter, 44+mm longer batteries? rechargeable... do they exist?

EDIT: No such battery exists, not in a buyable price. I wanted a longer battery for more capacity, but it is not doable... thread closed (unless you have more new info).
Thanks!

Thanks all!

I don't believe there is such a thing.

However, there ARE batteries called 10280s, which are basically 2/3 of an AAA.

You could probably use TWO of those. One cool benefit of which would be the ability to use non-boost drivers as a result.

They would work in parallel, as I'll direct drive.. and need longer capacity.
Thanks tho.. ;)

Make a spacer. I made one for use in my cheapo 2xAAA green. Measured out a length of PC power cable, used two wood screws as end-caps, soldered and sanded to smooth the philips heads on the screws.

you don't get it. I want a cell longer than a 10440, but not twice. My laser is a DIY build and it fits anything between 10 to 70mm, like a 10100 (if it would exists :p) or a 10700... but I don't know what cells over 44mm (10440) exists.

Leodahsan:
If you can't exceed 10mm diameter (AAA), then you're limited to:

10180 (expensive + rare)
10280 (expensive + rare)
10440 (common)

That's it I'm afraid.

If you ran 2x 10280s in parallel, you would gain 17% capacity over a single 10440. That's not awesome, especially given the extra hassle of parallel building, plus charging two cells, plus the expense of 10280s in the first place. I think you may be better off sticking to 1x 10440 :(

lol, 430mAh is lower than the 10440 I'm going to order hahah... 10C is very strange too.. :O

I'll stick to 10440 ppl.. consider this thread closed pls.
Conclusion: No such battery as 10XX0 (xx = >44) exists.

They may say they are a 500mAh 10440 but I am betting they won't be more than 350mAh actual capacity. Most Chinese sellers stretch the truth a little.;)

the gray ones from dealextreme have been tested to ~420mah..

That is great. Did they test a few or just one. I would bet there is a lot of variation with them if they are ultra/trust fire.
