Newegg has the OEM Lite-On ihes112-04 12x BR burners for $59.99 with free shipping. This is the cheapest 12x BR burner I've seen. It seems like a good price for replacing that old drive you have or ripping it apart.

Its not a 12X burner. :undecided: It reads BD at 12X, but only burns DVDs, and CDs.

This must be the 100th thread in which someone has misunderstood the meaning of 12X BD-ROM and posted it here as a cheap burner. Cracks me up every time. It just keeps happening over and over and over again.

You get so excited about the find, you dont read the small print.

Oops. Sorry about that. I think what threw me off was the free blank media even though it is blank DVD media. I had bought a 12x BR burner late last year and it came with blank BR media.

I am thankful that people like TJ and others point out that the burners are actually ROMs though.
