Lasers, binoculars, crystals and loads o' beams

Cracked out the lasers this evening and used some binoculars combined with crystals to get a huge array of lines and a nice wall display.

started off with green and blue:

Added 405 and 650, unfortunately the 650 appears less visible here than it really was:

then combined everything:

decided to chuck some crystals in front of the binoculars - party!

And then the coup de gras... with a bit of tweaking I was able to get the crystal to produce dozens of individual lines, scattered everywhere:

this was not easy to do as there was considerable splash and reflection from the binocs:

I shall be doing it again soon when my ARG glasses arrive (no fear of melting through the eagle pair then), hopefully including my 593.5nm if it arrives in time.

Cheers. I'll fine tune the setup and then have a go using a better cam. Gonna see if I can use it when my Rigel arrives to split the beams. If there's any 532/671 in there, I'm gonna find it!!
