I recently received my laserbtb 445nm 500mW laser, and I found it to be well worth the 110$ I paid for it. I purchased it with standard shipping, and a laser tripod from laserbtb.com

Here's the laser
PL 405/445nm 500-2000mW

Sorry the photos are so big, I wanted there to be as much detail as possible, so you can really see the host.
Laser specs: (Taken directly from PL 405/445nm 500-2000mW )
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Wavelength (nm) 445

Beam Colour Blue

Transverse mode TE00

Range in darkness (m) 300-800

M2 factor <1.2

Beam divergence,full angle (mrad) <3.0

Beam Diameter at Aperture (mm) <2.5

Spectral Linewidth (nm) <0.1

Polarization Ratio >100:1

Warm-up Time (minutes) <0.5

Operation Temperature (℃) 10~30

Storage Temperature(℃) -10~+50

Expected Lifetime (hours) 5000

Laser Head Dimensions(D×L, mm) Φ38 * 205

Cooling System metal heatsink

Operating voltage(VDC) 2*16340 batteries

Warranty time 6 months
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Pros:
• Reasonably priced, at 110$
• Very Well Built, feels solid
• Precise Focusing
• Numerous Safety Features, including a "Safety Dongle", closable aperture, and key to arm the laser
• Bright, beautiful 445nm blue color
• Came with a battery charger
• Came in a solidly built, lockable aluminium electronics case, with keys
• Arrived earlier than expected, 12 days after ordering
• All contents arrived safe and well packaged

Cons:
• Charger felt cheap, I would not leave it plugged in for any extended amount of time
• The tripod they sent was actually a microphone stand, which the laser was to big to fit in. It would work well with a laser slightly shorter than this one
• A little too powerful to be a cat toy, and it's very difficult to put goggles on your pets

Notes:
• I'm fairly certain the laser more powerful than 500mW, though I can not test this
• I had to cut out parts of the electronics case foam, in order to fit my Intelichager I2

Conclusion:
I would pay twice as much for a laser this well built. I highly recommend.

congrats yes its a nice laser treat it well and it will last you a long time. Yeah the battery charger u can throw away i have one too i never used its just too cheap when charging this kind of batteries u dont want that kind of crap it might blow up or something..

Be careful when using it im sure it peaks a bit more then 500mw if u gonna burn stuff then u want use goggles at all times, if u just want to look at the beam then it should be alright but still be cautious when you are using it.

Nice review! I am very happy with my 2+W PL445 from laserbtb, their hosts are very solid and its also nice to have all the safety features a Class IV laser should have.

You should try to measure as many stats as you can on your own, and then compare it to what they claim. After all, that is the point of a review, no? Good luck.

Just an FYI, those tripods cost 8$ on eBay. Same exact ones. If you ever order another laser from them and want a tripod pm me and I'll give you a good seller on eBay that I have bought 20 of those tripods from. BTB sells them for like 30$ or some crazy price last time I checked. Also, I bought a case of butterfly clips that will hold the laser and screw right onto that tripod. Holds just about any laser except PLE's.

Also another tip for posting pics is using a max size of 800 pixels. When images are too large its hard o even impossible for people on tablets to read the thread or even see the entire image. 800 pixels is the perfect size.

Very nice, but im curious as to the lableing of PL405 500B, the dot also looks violet around the edges....Edit I just realized this is a 1 1/2 month old thread, but still wondering about the wavelength of this laser as if its a 405nm it could of cause a world of confusion as far as visible output and different burning strengths.

Good eye... But the difference between 405 and 445 is pretty huge, if it weren't 445 I'm pretty sure the reviewer would notice, no matter how inexprerienced.
