what I am looking for is a laser that i will mount on a holder that will move slowly down a track , I am hoping that every 1 mm of travel i can get the laser to fire and give me a distance measure sub .5mm from the laser face to the wall (hopefully the laser can be 1 foot from the wall it self
is this possible where would I buy such a laser and how do I read data from it.
