I just got a cheap greenie,(but still good) and i was expecting it to come in a case.

Well, it didn't. So right now i'm just keeping it in a plastic zip-lock bag with some bubble wrap in it. I've never heard anything about it, but, does storing it in a ziploc bag with no air hurt the laser somehow? (probably a really stupid question)

Also, can you think of any other places or things i could put it in that would protect it in case it falls or somthing?

I keep my lasers in a bubble mailer if I take just one or two in a backpack or something.

If I go to a LEM or some laser function, I have a stacking toolbox that travels with me.
The bottom levels have the lasers in them and is lined with bubble wrap.
I keep my lasers in cheap flashlight holsters, by the way.
The rest of the toolbox has all of my building tools, chargers, components, DMM, LPM, etc.

I've seen a lot of members use a foam-lined pistol case to keep their lasers safe. Lockable too. :)

Oh yea, I don't think a lack of air will hurt the laser at all.
