If this hasn’t been done already I would like to compile a list of major media with lasers being either the central theme or a key element. So anything you guys can think of Movies, T.V. (shudder), books, video games and/or radio (is that possible?).

List it here

Movies:

"Real Genius"

"The Manhattan project"

James Bond - Diamonds are forever, The Man with the Golden Gun, Goldeneye

Laser Blast (starring Mark Hamil, before Star Wars)

T.V.:

"original battle star galactica"

"star trek"

Books:

Build Your Own Laser, Phaser, Ion Ray Gun and Other Working Space Age Projects by Robert E. Iannini

Video games:

Laser force

Missile Command

Radio/music:

^Oh no you didn't!  <snip snap>

I KNOW you didn't just insult Real Genius.  That BETTER be some sarcasm, or you best be takin' it back!  that movie is a classic, young Val Kilmer is hilarious.  And the multitude of quotables?

"I was thinking of the immortal words of Socrates, who said, "... I drank what?" "

;D :D

Fair enough, LOL. I was exactly the same way until I saw it in one of those $3 (or some other really cheap price) bins of movies at some store, then I had to own it. ;D

And of course Austin Powers, how could we forget frickin' sharks with frickin' laser beams attached to their frickin' heads? It would be an abomination not to include this.
