Okay so i have this green laser and its been only about two days since ive had it, but it worked great for the first day and on the second day it lost all sharpness in the beam. when i shoot it at a wall its very bright still however there is a bright single point and at the same time radiating around that point is a bunch of noise. When i saw noise it looks just as a bunch of green and black dots. Does anybody have an idea on how to fix it?

*I tried cleaning the lens with a little bit of alcohol and it seemed to sharpen it up a little bit but not much.

yea i did. I take it that it damaged the lens of the diode in some manner? :yabbem:

particles could have landed on and stick to the lens. They are not easy to remove without scratching the lens. try cleaning it a few more times just be careful..

can you provide a picture of the lens?

enlarging and enhancing the image did not show definitive proof of deposits on the Lens, but that's still the most likely cause of the spot problem. Use a Q-tip and the purest alcohol you have on hand, and carefully clean the lens again. Allow it to dry then check the spot again. If it shows improvement try again until either it's cleaned up or the cleaning has no further affect. It must be completely dry or it will look terrible.

Best advise I can offer for now.
