laser cig light

100mW pocket mini, glass lens option. yes it can light a cigarette if perfectly focused. note i'm not a cigarette smoker, i wanted to see if this was possible.



i had to click a few times to get the laser to stay on - battery was nearly expired. it died shortly after shooting video.

{edit} end of the cig does not need to charred/blackened to light it, though it helps. more time is required to light a fresh cigarette. research is continuing...

I don't normally smoke much, however I had to attempt this. This shows even a relatively weak laser (100mW) can light a cigarette, if focused perfectly. The end does not have to be blackened. This is my red pocket mini

Video below I'm micro puffing. Laser is not powerful enough to initiate a sustained combustion (unless careful), however I can draw a tiny, rarefied, puff of nicotine and menthol. Use your laser pointer to create an E-cig.
