Awesome!
Glad to see you got it up and running. It looks great!
The thunderstorm video is pretty cool.

Measured La Spada Verdi @ 115mW Peak! It then settles down to a stable 107mW +/- 1mW. I'm very excited about this. DTR, don't think I didn't notice the extra juice in the driver!

Wow, was that with the 300mA microboost that came with, or the x-drive?

With the X-Boost from DTR. I will do the X-Drive makeover on Sunday w/ my daughter, and prep for the Krytons arrival. I'll be making more "build" photos as I go.

Do you think I should make a formal build/review thread or edit this thread into one?

Ah, I was just wondering. Mine has hit 98mW, but settles down to 95. I'm leary to adjust, i would probably kill it. My DMM only measures current up to 200mA, so i can't measure from tail cap.

Then again, i love mine, and a few tens of mW isn't much. Plus, i know i'll make another...

Indeed...don't risk such a valuable diode for so little gain. The X-Boost is running @ 310-315mA. The X-Drive is pre-set @ 290mA. I was hoping to come up w/ a resistor combination to get up to that, but I don't know if it's worth the bother.

Any advice is appreciated in regards to the resistors.

Some of you have very efficient diodes...mine is being run at 300mA for 80mW(100mW with G2LFL). I seem to have terrible luck with diode efficiency....my 9mm ran 2W when being driven at 2.2A(according to the current owner).

Much to my girlfriend's dismay :p

In all seriousness though, I am sooo glad she doesn't know what all my lasers cost! I learned my lesson when I told her about my first 9mm build and she asked how much the diode cost. When she heard 120, she was like "what....." -_- so now I don't ever give exact numbers.

Oh, how we are birds of a feather! Mine never asked a thing, and was blissfully ignorant...until she heard me complaining about killing a 405nm and the price came up. All she said was, 'I don't want to know any more', and that's where it's stayed. I know she breathes easier when people are buying my lasers!

I would say to edit the thread into a formal review/build thread. The thread is already here so there is really no reason to make a different one.

Great Build/Review thread SBA. A lot of work and dedication went into a gorgeous build. Thanks for sharing the process and results :gj:
