I got the laser yesterday and it is very powerful. *It is unbelievably small, or should I say teenie? *Kenom posted that his was around 100mw so I would guess that mine is too. * It burns very well. *Overall I am pretty imprested with this little laser. *The only possible bad thing about this laser would be that it would be easy to lose. *And the batteries are very expesive if bought locally, about $7 for 3 of them, but I bought about 50 of them from dealextreme for $3. *Which is a fantastic deal.

What batteries does it use? Can't you get rechargeables or does it use coin cells?

Coin cells, or something like LR-44's I think... not really coin shaped, but watch batteries or hearing aid batteries nonetheless.

You can as well operate the laser off a single 10180 battery and get up to 300mw, but since it's using the battery for direct connection and internal resistance of the battery for current regulation, there is a distinct possibility of blowing the laser diode by doing so.

Mike, I got these hosts initially from harbor frieght, but they discontinued them.  I then found another source but the cost of the flashlight (single 5mm led) was about $15 at Scheels.  Now everyone is aware of my supposedly secret source and that's Deal Extreme.  I've got a few that havn't been modified up for sale (unmodified) for $6 shipped.

Thanks for the review Tacomanmcjab.

You can also get batteries on ebay 100 for rougly $9.99 shipped

Are you still making them?

Good question Spider. I do still make them. They are $55 shipped in con/us.
