Hey guys, I just now bought my x105 with the TNT shipping, should be here hopefully by Monday. Do you guys have an opinion which AAA batteries would be most sufficent for the X105?

Thanks,

Grant

If you have extra cash, get Lithiums, it is the best type of battery to use in a AAA style 532nm laser.

EDIT: Just don't use it in a red. ;D

sweet! the waiting game sucks when it comes to lasers.
I used rechargeables for my lasers
but i got a meter recently, and found that its quite a bit weaker with rechargeables
so now I buy dollar store AAA's... surprisingly they're pretty good
not long lasting, but gives me peak output. A buck for 4x, cant go wrong there.

I use Sanyo Eneloops in mine and they hold up very well. There is no difference that I have been able to tell in output between using the Eneloops or Lithiums.

Anyway, let us know what you think of it...I am sure you will be impressed.

Did you order any thing along side of the X105?

If you didn't get a case, I recommend you get a OtterBox, all you have to do is reverse one of the pieces of foam and your good to go. It's by far worth the $18, well at least I think it was $18.

Also, did you get any optics?

No...I don't think they will ship Monday...national holiday in canada.

Enerything is closed...just like our Thanksgiving day.

They will most likely ship Tuesday..with luck you should have it Wednesday.....

I hate waiting as well!!!!

they'll probably give u a free diffraction grating

Thats true....

I got a free "Time Tunnel" defraction grating with mine....

Kinda neat!!!

Oh and definately be careful without goggles!!!

That's enough power to easily blind you!!

Sunglasses will actually raise your risk level.

Laser light will pass right through...and since ambient light is filtered by sunglasses..your Pupil will be dialated.

A hit while you pupil is dialated will let even more laser energy enter your eye.

Hit the laser safety section of the forum....

Read up on the particulars...it will help pass the time till your X-105 arives!

Digital camera in front of your eyes is a temporary fix. (look at the screen of course..not through a looking hole.)
