Just finished an IR laser, anything I should know?

Had my aixiz module and put the IR diode into it,  it works

its kinda weak.

do NOT look into it - you really should not be messing with IR diodes without the correct goggles....dangerous stuff that

thats not what I meant.

I know not to look into it, but will it focus like regular light?

will it get hot like reds



and anyways, it won't burn anything so its not worth having inside my aixiz. I'll put a better LD in it instead.

DO NOT use it as a nose hair trimmer ;D ;D ;D

I built one too. It pops balloons but very hard to focus. I suspect the lenses in the Aixiz module don't work well at 808.

BUT...they are VERY effective at nose hair trimming ! LOL you MUST wear goggles to ensure that you do not do any accidental eyelash or retinal damage.... HAHAHAHAHA

I was trying to point out, with a little humor, that it can be powerful and never point it toward your face. When I built mine, I ordered glasses for protection.

what would one use an infra-red laser for? what are the main purposes of use? also how is this harmful to us?

They use htem cause they are cheap burning lasers.
