Has nothing to do with superhuman hearing. Your senses improve or gets worse over time, depending of on you use them or not. As someone who loves genetic enhancement, closing your eyes and remaining silent and listening for a few minutes per day will give you an enhanced hearing after some months. Some people, like you have it naturally or built it just like that.
Stopping other senses, sight, smell, touch, taste and focusing just on hearing will develop that more. Same reason some blind people have bat's echo ability. Massive improvements in auditory function, they create sonars around them.
While this might some good for you, make sure your other vital senses such as eyesight is in check, you have better hearing, your eyesight is very much toned down, without training that is.
My wife can't stand more than one thing happening at the same time such as tv on and trying to talk on the phone but then again I think that's more common for people over 50. She never was good with multi-tasking.
I used to sit in my office/laundry room/laser build area with 2 laptops to my left, next a tv, center my main monitor and then another tv to the right and finally a netbook 90 degrees to my right all going at the same time with everything different but nowadays I prefer just my main computer and classical music (all 7.2 surround sound) as it is so relaxing which is so much better when you need to concentrate on problem solving during unique build. Still have all that other stuff there but I just don't do all that anymore. Gotten to the point in my life that I don't need a 100 different things going on to keep my interest up.
