Hello everyone! Well, I'm sort of new and sort of old to this forum. As you see I joined quite a long time ago, 2009!! But after I successfully built my first PHR-803 laser, my interest in lasers has gone. Until recently I picked up my old PHR pen, and wonder what happen to the laser world now. So I came back to LPF, and BOOM! This thing can light up the sky now! I'm in again!

Anyway, I want to build a M140 laser. I'm making sure if everything is correct, especially the driver portion: I put 5 1N5404 in series with a 1ohm resister, the voltage across a single 1N5404 is 0.78V(measured) and voltage across the whole test load is 5.2V. Suppose I want to run my M140 at 1.2A, is this setup correct? And/or is this safe for the M140 diode?

Thank you!
