Is this possible?

I have a working laser diode and basically it has this clicky button on it (power). How do I go about making the laser activate via the endcap button of a flashlight host?

Um... where's the driver? I hope you're not going to a bunch of trouble to put a 5mW red in a flashlight case.

Just solder a wire across the button terminals to disable it.
