200mw green beam goes from 3mm to 15mm 25 yards away. It is focused on infinity.

Step 1. Research divergence.

Step 2. Research laser prices, in relation to quality.

Step 3. Take a deep breath and relax. For the purposes of a portable pointer, divergence doesn't have to be great;)

Step 4. Realize that when it comes to lasers, $120 isn't much.

Step 5. Wait until it's dark, go outside, start shining the laser at some tree tops, and smile:)

So that divergence is normal?:D That's all i wanted to know i thought I had a faulty laser... :(

If you're seeing a nice beam outside, and not a big cone of light... it's fine. Divergence has to be really really bad in order to be an issue for a pointer.

Do you have safety glasses? If not you should get a pair...

But anyway, with them, try to adjust the focus for the smallest dot possible, at a distance. If you set a laser to "infinity" indoors, off of say the ceiling five feet away, you're not actually focusing it to infinity;)

well the focusing ring is tight as possible and if I loosen it it just gets bigger so it's as close to infinity as it will get
btw the laser is <--- my avatar

Lol, yeah, given your question your avatar, and the other thread I figured as much;)

You may be able to adjust this somewhat by playing around with the insides of the focusing mechanism, and specifically where the focusing lens sits in it, so you have a little more leeway.

Sorry I can't help anymore, but I don't have one of these on hand. Loved it for all the safety features but ended up almost never using it since it's kid of big.

I like it because it's big makes it more awesome :D
