Red plastic should kill at least lower powered green (and probably most of blue/argon as well) beams, but it doesn't say what the optical density is. At that price I suppose you wouldn't have much to lose money-wise. But you can shine the beam of your laser thru the lens and see how much, if any, can pass thru. If you can barely see the dot then the glasses are blocking out almost all of the light. I would try that first just to be sure.

They actually look like red laser enhancement goggles from stanley, which apparently have an OD of around 6 .

Is 6 good? I'm not getting the laser, because it's not FDA aproved, but might make my own, so I might just get them ahead of time.

OD 6 would reduce the power of the laser by power*10[sup]-6[/sup]

So if you had a 5mW laser it would reduce it to 0.000005mW ;)

But these glasses might not be OD 6 .
