looks like they'd be difficult to mount and diy the optics, but interesting nonetheless.

(Betriebsdaten der Diode sind 2,3 Volt DC bei 40 mA) - can anyone guess what power range this is in based off that? I can't imagine they'd be >5mw.

At 40mA ;D Yeah I'd guess they're like 10mW, 15 at most.
