I am interested in getting a cooling device for cooling lab style projects, like the one rhd uses in the "Re: It is Here.!!!!! 300mW "635nm" Mitsubishi..... " thread. (Hope that link works)
I was going to PM rhd for some information on this subject then thought "why not make a thread instead?" in case someone else is curious...
My desire is to make or buy a cooling device that can cool a 445nm diode - in a heatsink of course - but for several hours - at around 1W of output. (& other diodes too)
For those of you who use cooling devices, what kind would you recomend from the standpoint of ease to use, reliability, ease to repair, and size? Well, also I'd like to not spend over $100 in parts...
I've found some cooling gaddgets on the net, but I'd rather get opinions from those who have used them for the same purposes as I before buying the first thing I find.
