ilda male/female difference?

just a quick question what the difference is.
there is little room in my projector to fit both...it can be possible though.

what are the uses for both? i know the ilda male is for pluggin in dac's.

The other is a passthrough, to allow you to play the same show on more than one projector - e.g main club dancefloor has show X playing, and the chillout room also has that show playing on a second projector.

it is also used to link "flanking" projectors.

You may have a RGB in the middle and two high powered greens either side. A graphics show plays on your RGB, and the greens (controlled by a seperate dac and linked to one another one with an ilda cable), do a ambiance beamshow.
