Thought this kind of thread would be good for all of us to keep in contact and get as much updated as possible about the Wickeds status.

I have ordered 2x the green E2 Series laser on 13.10.2010 (DD.MM.YYYY) and still haven't got a shipping notice. The promised shipping date has now changed 4 times from 15 Oct to 15 Nov to 29 Nov to 25 Dec. Also Wicked desided to stop selling the E2 series and convert all the <100mW E2 orders to <100mW E3 which really sucks coz I like the non shiny, more scrach resistand body and the AA batteries more than the E2 host. The E2 host also had an removable front lens which would have been great for keeping the lens clean.. Well can't do nothing about that anymore. Im going to wait till 2011 and if I don't get my shipping notice by then they can suck it and refund my money immidiately. Im not hesitating to fill a chargeback if I don't get my money within 5 days from sending the refund request.

Any other frustrated wicked customers here? (Please don't post about the Arctic only if you have ordered some other laser from them)

EDIT: Im not really angry or anything at Wicked and I don't mind waiting for the lasers but they could atleast tell the truth instead of lying about the shipping dates all the time. What really upsets me is that the other laser is not for me but a good friend of mine and I told him when I ordered them that it could take some time, even a month. I have already offered to give his money back to him but he said "well if you can wait for it then I quess I can too" but still feels kinda bad to have him wait. Well thats it for now tell me your story :)

Same here.
Ordered E2 on 4.10.2010 (now it is in E3 shit host).
They promised to deliver me my laser before 23rd December.
If I don't get my laser before New year, I will refund it. And never order from WL again =)

8 months is an insane time to wait for anything. I would have gotten my money back long ago.

Sorry, culture gap. You dont have the area you live in listed. But then again neither do I.

Either way 2.5 months is still a ridiculous amount of time to wait.

I don't get how can WL still be on scene with ALL these customers paying and not getting their lasers.
How come no customers sued them or something? Isn't it it against law to take money from people without sending ordered products?

I am minor (16.5) so I cannot do /anything/ to speed up shipping.
How come no customers sued them or something? Isn't it it against law to take money from people without sending ordered products?
Simple answer: They are in china :) Different laws there. But don't worry you will eventually get your laser(s) just sucks that everyone has to wait this long..

If you're talking abotu wicked then definently not. If you want a really good 1W blue laser that actually is research quality (unlike the arctic) and on top of that is cheaper than the arctic get the DragonLasers Spartan 1W. Dont order from wicked. I dont even know the last time I read something good about them. What is it you want? Anything they sell (specific wavelength and power) can also be found at other more reputable retailers.

they may not have the exact same laser but if you were looking at 100mW 532nm green pointer. You could find another similar 100mW 532nm from another company that actually cares about customer service.

If you want a cheap, high quality 100mW green I recommend you to get this: Optotronics Product Details its a bit more expensive than the E3 and looks like the cheap chinese pointers but its worth every penny. Jack (the site owner) tests every laser before shipping and the laser includes a verification that states the lasers real power and some other info. You can look for some reviews here on LPF just search for Optotronics green laser review. (You can also get the 150mW version here if you want: Optotronics Product Details)

These lasers are always overspec and have a good IR filter installed.

As you can see from my signarute I'm in the segment of this debate. (Just graduated, unable to speak human language yet)

Dates and time according to my time zone!

So, I but order in 2011.01.08 (YMD) with my little step brother to get reasonable shippings cost. I have been pulling they hair/rocking the boat by asking about shipping info and finaly asking to refund and cancel order.
  • 2011.01.17 I sent support ticket asking to kindly to get the trackin number and info.
  • Answer: none
  • 2011.01.18 I sent support ticket asking: "Are the items in stock or not? Are they coming at all? Please inform me in 24h."
  • Answer 2011.01.19: "These items are in stock and your order has been shipped."
  • 2011.01.24 I sent support ticket: "Can you please give me the tracking number?"
  • Answer 2011.01.24: "This order shipped on the 11th of Jan. We do not have a tracking number at this time."
  • 2011.01.25 I sent support ticket: "Please, refund and cancel my order"
  • Answer 2011.01.26: "As soon as I get the okay from shipping, I will cancel the order."
  • Answer 2011.01.26: "Your order number xxxxx has been shipped. Your EMS tracking number is xxxxxxxxxxxxx."
Update 2011.02.01, 2011.02.02
  • 2011.01.31 I sent support ticket: "Why on earth my tracking number is invalid?! I'll still keep getting "No information for this tracking". Are you playing games with me? May I please get my money back?"
  • Answer 2011.02.02: "Your order was already shipped on the 26th. If you are having problems tracking you can email the head of shipping at sunny@wickedlasers.com. Thank you for your patience."
  • 2011.02.01 I sent support ticket: "Please, no more lies about shipping. Please refund and cancel my order."
  • Answer 2011.02.02: "Your order was shipped January 26th and cannot be cancelled. Thank you."
The last update 2011.02.08:
Last week I did a ticket again treathing to ask bank to take money back if I would not have the lasers in this week sunday.
The packet came in 2011.02.08

I keep getting so far: No information for this tracking. from tracking.

Good luck on getting your money back, hopefully they will just refund you coz if not I know from personal experience its not easy to do a chargeback in Finland :( If you want a good 5-15mW green laser pointer that has a good IR filter and will ship in a couple of days I recommend you to get this: Optotronics Product Details. I know it looks like the cheap shit pointers you can get from dealextreme but trust me they are really good quality pointers and always overspec :) But remember don't under any circumstances mention its a laser when/if the customs send you a letter to come pick it up and pay the taxes for it (ALV 22%). I had ordered a Optotronics 150mW laser about a year ago and accidentaly forgot to remove the word laser from my receipt and as a end result they gave me 2 choices 1. they destroy the laser and thats it or 2. they send it back free of charge. well ofcourse I told them to send it back and Jack (the Optotronics owner) gave me a full refund minus shipping costs when he got the laser back. Jack sure is a great guy and very easy to deal with. So if you deside to order a laser from Optotronics and it gets stuck at the customs, just edit your receipt you get during the purchase in paint and change the line where it says "Optotronics 5mW Laser" to "Optotronics flashlight" or something like that. Jack sends the lasers as "flashlight kits" so if they verify the package contents from the computer it will say so there too.
