The exact same as Event Horizon, or maybe a 20W CO2 or something if it came with the right safety equipment

If you're going to go CO2 then you might as well go with the high end. 200W at least.

If just one portable, my RPL-400. Hercs are awesome, but not as practical as an RPL.

For any laser, a really powerful argon, in the multi watt ranges :) Or any multi watt visible spectrum laser for that matter :) 60W 532nm

That's exactly where I saw that :)

I saw that as a reference to some of the most powerful visible spectrum lasers around  Thread starter said be realistic :)

I'd go for a Hercules-400. But that's not very realistic to be honest, the chance that I'm going to pay 3k for a portable laser is equally large as winning the lottery jackpot.

I would probably take the 60 watt 532nm too, I would imagine the beam would be decently bright at night. I could also use it to pop extra balloons I have sitting around.

60W wouldnt pop no balloons, it would bleach them on the spot ::)

I'd love to have a 60+ watt CW Nd:YAG - I've seen a couple for sale here and there but at this point they are beyond my price range and/or to heavy to ship w/o paying a huge amount.

I would go for a 10 WATT 556nm the size of the RPL ;D With a beam diameter of 0.5mm and a <1mrad This could be realistic but some time in the future... I would also need something like 10 OD goggles  And the casing made of Titanium! With an infinite duty cycle (like the SPYDER II) And some sort of super batteries that use nuclear fission and last >10 years!

Actually you'd only need OD4 goggles to reduce a direct hit to 1mW.

Wish they made 555nm DPSS..... D:
