Okay im building my first DIY laser a red DL 16X burner dioded in a housing not sure if its brass or chrome havent seen it yet but i was going to do Kenoms mini dorcy laser by the way kenom thanks for the help ;D i needed it. but then i see some of these dorcy metal gear bodys now im not so sure which one will give me a long life but high power

You can also get into the group buy I'm holding for custom laser barrels and it's a far better host than any flashlight you can mod. With the variable driver in it you can range the current being driven to the diode. There's still room to get in on the first run. I'm actually in the process of drawing up some schematics to show how I've decided to put it all together.

tht would be awsome!!!!! i was planing on using dorcy mods but would this be any cheaper? ;D

click the link in my signature to check out the whole GB. essentially it's a custom made laser barrel that runs off 2 cr123 batteries. Is good for both bluray and red diodes, includes a clicky, lens, driver essentially everything you need to make a laser except batteries and a Diode.
