I bought a dvd r/w. W/ lightscribe, open box. but tell me how when i took it apart and got down to the sled there was not a single diode! not a one. anywhere. now i tried to do some research but this is making no sense. since it was a open box 24x could someone have bought it removed the diode and put it back together and returned it? there are just missing. no where. i searched all over. any thoughts on what i should do?

Show us a picture of the sled and tell us the make/model of the burner. Some of these have all flat, "plastic" diodes in them.

Peace,
dave

**EDIT** It might look like this

Pics? Maybe you aren't looking in the right place.
And, with a pic (or two) of the sled, we could tell you if the diodes are still there (just hidden).

Oops: Dave beat me to it.

Hi, Chris (That is your name, right?)
Quintuple EDIT: Sextuple! (Is it a record?) posting is frowned upon, use the edit button.
could someone have bought it removed the diode and put it back together and returned it?

There aren't that many of us - and most of us have a better moral code than this anyway. Hope you're not trying to suggest anything?

What's the idea of 5 posts one behind the other...
Try using the Edit button before you hit -1000 in your reps...
That is really poor Forum ettiquette...

Are we trying to get our post count up....

@jenner6989 I have merged your massive quadruple post double post into one post. If no one has posted after you please use the edit button and add the additional information to the first post as opposed to making several consecutive posts.

Not trying to get off-topic here, but how can you tell who is a Mod? All the other forums I've been to have the mods actually labeled as such, so, where it has Class 3R laser, instead it'd have 'Mod' or 'Moderator'.

The Mod is normally identified but through an internal snafu the Label
has disappeared... The mod is aware of it and it is being looked
into as of the last time we communicated..

For this forum it is very easy to tell who the moderators are. Their name is either:

2007Revolution
or
c0ldshadow (actually c0ld has a couple of aliases but you hardly ever see them.

<snerk>

Peace,
dave
