I can see my 5mw red laser beam.

I can see it, but only at night, I can see it best when I shine it through a mirror, obviously not into my face, but at a door or something, but I can see it in dark conditions poorly, but I can see it, atleast parts of it.
When I look at it through a mirror, I can clearly see the red beam.

Is this normal?

It's a 5mw laser probably. It doesen't have anything written on it, bought the little thing from a toy store before I'm buying my green, to see what it's like.
I'm quite new at lasers, sorry if it's a dumb question.

It´s just normal

Add a bit of smoke/steam/fog into the scene and you´ll see it even a lot better.

Thanks, I just thought since it's a low powered red you couldn't see it at all, without smoke/steam or fog

We all have pointers and modules , from 5mW till 500 even 1000 even 5000 some have infrared laser going till 60 WATTS!!!!!!!!!!! all sizes and shapes in all kinds of colors even white lol take your time sniffing arround here on this forum and you'll see
