I know its nothing mind blowing but just to prove to those out there who though I could only do massive lasers here is my reply :
Its water resistant (for bath/ outdoor use) not like the green one which is dive proof.
Its a non axis case that with all the internals being padded means it should stand up to a beating
(its essentially a piece of 'chrome' plated steel pipe with threads)
both features making it my second 'all terrain' laser.
Twist on/ off with slightly visible beam at night which makes me think ~7-10mW?
oh yeah whilst it isn't that big its heavy case is 'chrome' plated steel ;D and is 1mm thick
oh diode came from some massive DX new wish sized pen from ebay. focusing stuff from a dead DX laser (where I nicked the cap from (had to waterproof it))- custom made twist switch, O rings and cap from DIY store.
my other DIYs are here (child proof burner) and here (cihld friendly all terrain torch)
