So this is basically a really easy cut and paste job. Things you will need: Pocket laser light show, this comes with a cheapo red laser inside. You will also need to have a laser module of your choice ready for insertion. I like Violet the best. You will also need a soldering gun, solder, a glue gun, and a screwdriver. Pretty basic stuff.

After you get all of that gather you will follow these steps. Follow the images.

1. Open box, unscrew battery compartment and install 3 AAA batteries. Test machine.

2. Unscrew all 5 screws on machine and remove warning label on back.

3. Unscrew red laser from machine.

4. Desolder wires from red laser circuit board.

5. Relocate positive wire to better location.

6. Solder positive and negative wires to the circuit board of you laser of choice.

7. Test

8. Align laser to bounce off mirrors properly.

9. Glue gun into place (or epoxy, or whatever you want)

10. Screw it all back together and have a disco.

The guide is great!
But I have a few questions;
1. It looks like the mirrors are back surfaced. Can you verify this?
2. What is that large black mass in the last picture, in the up-right corner :eek:

Yeah they look back surfaced.

I think that 'mass' is a glue gun tip that is in desperate need of a cleaning.

Hello, You are right. That is a glue gun tip. Pretty nasty I know. I believe the mirrors are back faced but I have yet to notice a double reflection, even when neither mirror is moving. I will investigate further when I get home and try to take a photo or two of the dot of the laser after it gets through both mirrors.
