I'm curious how much others have spent on lasers. There are probably others that wonder the same thing. We shall now find out how much people have spent.

We should also make this one viewable by members only or something, so that wives/significant others don't find out ;).

I've probably spent just under $1000 in my 9 months in the hobby for myself. Hekc of a lot cheaper than my last hobby.

Good Gosh!

If I ever kept track of how much money I spent on my hobbies, I'd sit in my room crying in the dark.

Luckily for me, most of my hobbies help pay for themselves ;)

I spent just under $1000 in about a year. In two days, it's actually the one year anniversary since I got my first 5mw greenie. :)

A bit too much to spend on a single hobby according to my parents. But heck, they've seen nothing of all the money I'm intending to spend. :p

Over $6k. Possibly 7 or 8. :-/

Here's an even more depressing question I pose: How much sooner would you be able to retire with these finances more properly invested? $5k could be $500k or more in fifty years :(

$350 in the past 6 months. I know that if I fork out for an RPL I'll get bored of it and never use it. It's a hard truth. D:

About 711 $ but it could have been 560 $ If I bought the 200mW red DX instead of the pulsar from WL :(

I'm at roughly $3000 since I bought my first laser in 1995. It got really expensive when I started collecting greenies in 1998.
