How bright is this Laser?

I found a laser for 50 dollars on ebay and it says it's 50 milliwatts and 80 milliwatt light power. Heres the link. I want to know how bright it is and how much power I will get. First can I see the beam, second will it pop a balloon and last, will it burn electrical tape? Do I need laser protective glasses for it? Thanks, any info is Great!

If it can burn tape do you think it will burn your eyeballs? GET SOME #!$@%#* GOGGLES RIGHT NOW ASAP!!! You will blind yourself! As for the laser, it seems pretty good and has a nice thick beam. THe price is a bit high, but not too bad for a labby. Good find and get some red lenses for your seeing balls :cheers:

nice thick beam at this power equals very little burning power unless focused with a magnifying lens

That's a good price for a Labby... The specs say 60-80mW of output.

Get yourself a pair of appropriate Laser Safety Goggles/Glasses
before investing in a white cane or seeing eye dog.
