They are laptop drives, no use to us, they have a rectangular 9-10 pin diode ( something around 10 pins ) I have an IR one on my desk somewhere.

-Adam

EDIT : 12 pins

Why would anyone (excluding mad scientists like ourselves) want to invest $ 11.11 plus shipping on a broken drive? An operational one isn't much more, is it?

He means it would be stupid for any non laser enthusiast to buy a broken drive for $11 when you can get a working one for just a little more. They are charging way too much for a busted drive, because this would be worthless to anybody besides ourselves.

That's the price I get if I change the currency from US Dollars to Romanian Lei.

Oh , that explains it, but romanian currency is RON and not ROL for some time now, that was what baffled me.And 270.000 seemed kinda a lot. ;D

Once again, these diodes will be no use to us, even if they do work. They would need specially machined modules, as they are rectangular 12 pin diodes.

Front looks like this :

Idk, some of us might be able to adapt them.If they were really cheap they would be worth a try. ::)

Some of you might, but you would need to machine custom modules ;) Or change the ones we already have .

Yea.They might be good for other applications requiring tons of diodes which you would need very cheap.I dunno...
