My names Andrew and I live in Sydney, Australia.
Its hard to be a laser enthusiast in Australia without all lasers being custom built\housed as our laws only allow for 1mW lasers.
I have just finished University and become a Photonic Engineer.
I have built a few laser pointers in the past ranging from 500mW up to a 1 W blue and its glad to see this forum has an active community who cares about eye safety.
Anyway I joined here because I was browsing ebay and saw DTR who was a member here and decided this would be a great place to be.
I live with my Dad who is a boilermaker and is also great with the lathe, my custom built housings come out really nice, ill try to add some pictures later. Although they are still far from Ehgemus level of professionalism.
Anyways thats all I can think of for a welcoming so yeah.
