OK so I have lost 2 drives to my inability to set current on these very small drives.
Both times I was attempting to set the drive to the 100-312mA range.
This is done by scraping the end resistor off, and making a solder bridge between the missing one, and the resistor on the left.
I keep running into difficulty, trying to make the solder bridge stick.
By the time I'm able to make a little trail stick. The heat from my iron ends up loosening the other resistor so that it falls off.
I saw a special pen at frys, it looks like it is for drawing or etching circuts.
Is this something that would help?
