So, My 445nm 2W driver driver is somewhere lost so I thought how can I run diode safely so I came to this idea.... Can i use this constant current & voltage driver with output caps to filter any spikes, and i start power at about 30% and turn voltage and current gradually up till its reccomended volts & amps. I know ive asked similar question but will it work with extraoutput filtering ? IC's on module are GS6300ZT 3Amp low ripple PWM buck DC to DC converter and LM324 single supply quad operational amp.

Will It run safe on this setup guys ?

Unless you have a scope to test the start up spike after your filtering I do not recommend it.

Those cheap buck modules from ebay can have some nasty start up spikes and laser diodes are pretty sensitive.

Hello, i did put a 2200UF cap at output and set current at 400MA and volts at 1.25 and gradually increased till 3.8 and it orked fine, is safe now to say that there are no spikes ?
 
The 445nm diodes are pretty robust, so it would probably be able to take a small spike even if there was one.

Without a scope you can't know exactly what it will do, but it'll probably work.

Correct me if wrong but in those dc/dc modules the higher the current, the higher the spikes, correct ?
