hey all im an engineering student from Perth with a newfound obsession for lasers (kind of unfortunate with my location). looking forward to becoming part of the community :yh:
 





Welcome aboard! Have you ever thought about building your lasers instead of buying them? That way you don't have pray your stuff gets past the customs.

If you have any questions, try using the search function before making a thread about it.
 
yes lucky for me australia has weird laws that allow importing components but not completed builds. i finished my first build yesterday which was a simple 5mW pointer but now i want to move onto bigger and better stuff!

If get lasers in Australia is too hard, as others members said, think in build your own lasers, if you need help we will do our best to help you! You will learn a lot of information and experience from it!

& I see you have waited to buy after you got that good advice-

One tip from me--- try to avoid two or more posts in a row-
just click edit and add to your last post-- its not a rule but most consider that to be good manners--

all kinds of hits will be found to help you build a blue laser- take your time.
and follow every 'rule' and you will be OK.

Nice! Engineering student from Perth. As you have learned safety is no. 1. Perth has the kind of reptiles that I have studied in the past with my other hobby. In the past I had a Papuan Taipan in my collection.(30 years experience here)
 
thanks hak ill be sure to make good use of your network :D in such a huge forum it will be invaluable!

luckily for me millirad, we dont get a lot of snakes in my area unless its summer :eek: did a quick image search for papuan taipan and wow thats a beautiful snake!
