You missed out on some fun... plenty of catching up to do... direct green diodes are out there now, and even better, 638nm!! There are lots of .5W+ ~640nm builds out there now Check out the threads by lazeerer, and cypragon, lots of interesting info. The green stuff is from rhd and aryntha.
