HEADS_UP Jetlasers owners of Pro Pl-E series OR those thinking about getting a PRO PL

HEADS UP JETLASERS ProPL-E owners-you can not run your laser EVER with two 18650s or two 26650s--the second tube is ONLY for replacing the other one to change the look-- TOO much voltage from especially the 26650 KingKongs will toast your driver== You can do that with the older Pl-Es BUT NOT the Pro series-
This has been explained a few times before- BUT some may have either missed it or forgot-- The warranty does NOT cover this.. Some may be thinking they will see an increase in output but actually all you get is longer run time before a charge of the battery is needed--Good rule for laser owners--'when in doubt --check it out'-you dont want to find out the hard way that what you did was wrong.

BTW the Pro Pl-Es 445s need TWO 16340s-

Only the Pro Line of Pl-Es cannot handle the second tube and battery- if your has a threaded lens cap then its a Pro all come with that and most come with a second battery tube BUT it is ONLY form changing the 'look and feel' of the laser and NOT for using a second battery.. Whether this was planned this way or not is of little importance-

What now matters is how you use the Pro Pl-Es - For those like ther Pro 445 you will be using two 16340s- I am not sure you should add the extra tube and try this with two 18650s or 26650s- AND if what you are trynig to do is get more mW you will fail- the increase in power is not enough to tell any dif except with a meter- what you can expect would be a longer run time beofre re-charging ONLY.

remember= To see a doubling in brightness(by eye) of a 1W laser you need to make it 4W- NOT 2W- and side by side a few hundred mW makes no diff. that we can see.
AND a 50mW 532/520 green will appear by eye just as bright as 1W of 445.

AND compared to any red or 405 it will take MUCH more than 4X-

you first sign that the Pro- Pl-Es are not made for two tubes is the fact that the threads are NOT at all the same- if your goal is to ruin your Pro then by all means force them together and destroy the threads in the process.

you have nothing to gain and everything to lose.

If you want to improve your Pro PL-E then jump of that super price of 99$ for a Pro Pl-E Beam Expander--it will improve with a lower divergence and extend the farthest 'sweet spot' a lot- thus if you are STILL into popping matches and burning balloons you will be able to do that from a longer distance.
the beam will be 'fatter' near the laser. NOT thinner.
