You saved me from my next pair of steel cutters!

Being the beginner I was, I didn't know how to get the diode out, so I tried to cut the metal around the diode with a pair of wire cutters, I squeezed very hard and the blades snapped and hit me in my thigh, lucky I was wearing jeans. those were my favorite cutters. sigh. Great Video! very informative.

N00bish question, but how do you know that you have a PHR-803T diode in the first place?

If you look closely you can see where it says PHR so you know it's a PHR sled and the diode inside is referred to as a PHR laser diode by us.



Seriously here are a couple more pictures so you will be able to identify these if you run across one in the furture.
