That is one of the most frustrating things to me regarding gun laws.

Its already illegal to kill people, or even to shoot, stab or bludgeon them, etc...even if they live.

Regulating the devices doesn't work, people find a way if they want to.

IE:

Its against the law to kill school children in classrooms.

You're not allowed to walk into a school w/o going to the office first and getting a pass, etc.

You can't have a magazine that holds more than X rounds (Lets say 5)...but you can put a block into a larger mag to make it hold only up to the allowed number of rounds.

Someone who is mentally unsound walks into the classroom w/o getting a pass first and shoots kids, but, reloads after every 5 shots because the one law they obeyed was to block the added magazine spaces?

:can:

Its like expecting to catch a bank robber fleeing the crime because of the speed limit keeping him from going faster.

It's the most frustrating things with laws in general. Murder, assault, robbery, rape, fraud, they are all already covered. Yet more and more laws are being added.

It's also to be a great point of frustration with the government to me. We have a legislative branch that actually prides itself on the amount of legislation that it produces. So much so that it can't even keep track of said legislation itself.

Is anything still legal?

I read that we can buy tannerite in 2 parts and mix it at the time of personal, non commercial use, but we need a license to pre mix and store it?

Any info is appreciated, I buy fireworks twice a year but I don't make any, I would like to know the actual law though.
Unmixed, it's not explosive. Mixed it's considered a high explosive (according to ATF). The actual law? As with most intrusive ATF decisions, it's just their interpretation.

Unless one is willing to test the law, and take their chances, it's best to just follow their interpretation. For instance, I doubt the ATF can regulate a shooting stance. So shouldering a piece of hardware, they call a pistol, likely wouldn't be upheld in court. But who's willing to take a chance?

They try to define a pistol as something that's fired with one hand. If they could regulate a firing stance, then firing a rifle with one hand, would be considered a pistol. And firing a pistol with two hands, would be considered a rifle. They don't do either of those, for obvious flaws in reasoning. So, I doubt firing a 516P, at the shoulder would earn a conviction, upon appeal. But I'm not willing to test the law with mine. Besides, I like mine better with a cheek rest. ;)

How do you know you are old? I remember when it was ok to teach gun safety in schools. All mass shootings occur in gun free zones. I wonder why that is? Gun control's ONLY effect is to make it impossible for law-abiding citizens to defend themselves.

Although the sig brace batfe ruling could be challenged in court, it's not something anyone want's to have to do, and the fact this twilight zone crap is going on in our country today along with ....god we may have a rough future, you know N.Korea launched a rocket into space today, deployed a satellite and they are refining uranium....things are getting spooky.

So yes, I too say avoid the trouble, the cheek rest pistol tube is a good idea.

Hire an armed guard, bullet proof blankets are scare tactics, that's sickening. Barry is not incompetent and finally I am hearing others say it, we are getting bamboozled.

Freedom loving Americans must stand together in defense of our Constitutional Rights regardless of age, gender, religion or any other differences what so ever.
That said I think Mike and I do enjoy a lot of the same things and I welcome the chance to earn his friendship/respect.

LaVoy Finicum, the ranch owner and dead man you saw gunned down in the snow in Oregon was not just a crazy cowboy, it turns out he has some videos, it's interesting to listen to a dead man talk sometimes.

Once you hear what he has to say I bet you take his side. I know I do.
So now farewell and RIP I must say to a brave American.
Who else even knew?

Great video. I hope everyone watches it. It's long, but you will learn more about the country and our rights, if you take the time to watch it. I suspect there won't be one liberal who watches it all the way through.

Yea and I hear Bundy senior got grabbed at the airport this morning, now him and his sons are all stuck in solitary. How dare they commit civil disobedience.

But they say the Chinese solar farms were meant for different valleys and it sure is ironic the way Harry Reid took such a beating.....I mean had that exercising accident before he stepped down as speaker of the senate.

The system is not just broken it's rancid.

Watched first 5 minutes, don't have time to watch more now, but so far everything he said was sensible.

I will put it on this entry for anyone who has not seen it.
and I will post something gun related.

I collect K1's and DR200's they are long stroke piston driven South Korean AR/AK/HK well they took the best of 3 rifles and improved our m-16 25 years ago. These are tack drivers and 100% as reliable as the ammunition. They use AR mags and have the same ergonomic controls. Mag release, last round hold open, bolt release. I prefer side charge to rear as that gets rid of the need for a forward assist. Not that you need to assist, with the robust AK style piston/spring up top it is super reliable.
They have a spring loaded ejector that spits out brass like it was mad at it, a full long stroke AK style piston and spring on top of an AR style BCG and a HK style gas adjustor that I just leave in normal and it never fails.

K1 is 1 in 7 and DR200 is 1 in 12

It takes forever to upload so I'm just going to show off the factory trigger, they have zero take up, little over travel and a short crisp reset.
I won't say how many I have but if I find one at the show I try to buy it, if they want 1200 I pass but if I can get a deal I have to grab them up, they are excellent shooters. Coke cans at 100 yards are no problem, even though they look so tiny at that range.

All these alphabet agencies make regulations that carry the weight of law, now they can change existing regulations without a comment and reflection period.
Well if you change a rule and change it again then change it again it's nothing like it started and this rubber stamp tyranny is backed up with FORCE in the case of BLM it's armored vehicles and military weapons. Remember the IRS scandal, people were ruined and still are being ruined, we don't vote to register our drones, or what size soda we can buy, it gets told to us and we must obey under threat of force.
If you don't think government run medical will invade your life and tell you what to do under threat of force then you are in for a shock.

BTW, I just ordered a couple of the pocket Constitutions, to give to my daughter and her husband. I already have one.

EVERYONE should carry a copy of the Constitution, so they can refresh their memories what this country is about.

What everyone should understand is that the Constitution wasn't written to give us anything but a limited government. It's limited in almost everything written in the document. The 10th is especially limiting, in that it specifically states that anything not spelled out in the Constitution is left to the states.

Somewhere along the way, people lost sight of what the Constitution provided and WHY. It does NOT convey "rights", it protects them. Perhaps pocket constitutions should be sent to every member of congress (House, and Senate). OH! And especially to the President. He is in need of one the most.

But to quote Marco Rubio

“Let's dispel with this fiction that Barack Obama doesn't know what he's doing. He knows exactly what he's doing,”
I hope Marco Rubio continues to repeat that phrase. Don't let PCness stop him from telling the truth.

They don't care! (most of them) I wouldn't waste my time. The average American is pretty stupid. By definition, the median IQ is 100 and one standard deviation south (15) used to be on the border of retardation. This was reset a couple of decades ago because certain groups were WAY too represented as retarded. Nevertheless, you are not going to be able to correct this slide by pointing out the inequities or the illegalities. You should protect yourself and those close to you that you care about and let it fail. Societies need to reset and they always do. With only limited resources an individual can do little to affect this process, but a lot to protect himself.
